Finding great music with Pandora
Pandora looks like an interesting service to solve the problem of "how do I find new music I'll like?".
This is one of the great unsolved problems of media and search. Their approach, in theory, makes sense.
I asked for a trial code. More soon.
By the way - this would make an awesome companion to Replay Music, or digital music services like Rhapsody and Napster.

Recieved my beta code today. Pandora has real potential. I requested a fairly obscure Stylistics cut. Pandora located the cut and started playing similar music. The choices were by and large on the money. The sound quality at 128kps was quite good.
I found that Replay Music required some fiddling with the Split settings to get 100% accuracy. So, if you want to, try setting Splitting at 75ms and Volume Cut Off at 45. At least, this worked for me.
According to an article I read Pandora is going to be priced at $3/mth -combined with Yahoo Music ($4/mth) and Replay Music - you'll quickly have one awesome MP3 collection.
