Applian User Experience: Saving Online Classes & Webinars

Whether in an academic or professional setting, continued education is a lifelong commitment. While businesses and marketers have their focus on video content, the eyes of many key industries of the world have taken notice as well; in particular, that of financial trading. For one of our own customers working as a professional financial Futures Trader, keeping up with the industry and its many represented markets was not only important to her career, it was imperative.

Janene Ayer understood that, in her field of work, staying up-to-date on the latest market trends meant referencing the past historical data, as well.

“The market repeats itself all of the time. The setups that happen repeat themselves. You can watch for them and make a lot of money and also if you do not know what to look for you can lose a lot of money. So when I can go back and review what has happened in the past it makes my chances of catching these moves a lot better. I use Applian software mainly to capture webinars and classes that I want to review and to keep on file.”

With our Replay Video Capture software, Janene has been able to record high-quality videos of every historical trading video in existence online. Replay Video Capture is the best way to make a video recording from any online site, including hard-to-record sources. For professionals in complicated, constantly shifting industries like Janene, it’s been an incredible asset for capturing and saving the kinds of videos that can make her career truly flourish.

“Thank you so much for making this software available to us!”

The Best Worst Movies to Stream & Record Now

Some movies are amazingly brilliant, and some are so amazingly bad that it’s a wonder how they were ever conceptualized. Today, we’d like to honor some of those horrible, yet somehow captivating, films available online.

You can stream all of the terrible/awesome movies your heart can handle straight from your browser, then use Replay Video Capture to keep them forever. To get started, just fire up the software, start playing your top picks on Netflix, Hulu or Amazon Prime, and start recording.

Take a look at some of our favorite worst movies to stream and save on Netflix right now:

1. Gigli

If you’ve ever wanted to see J. Lo pretend to be a “fatally gorgeous” gangster, please record and save this movie from Netflix. Ben Affleck (Gigli) also stars in this quintessentially awful/amazing movie from the early 2000’s, in which a kidnapping goes terribly awry. Sloppy, bizarre and yet somehow amazing.

2. Killer Mermaid

Somewhat creepy and terribly written, this flick is perfect for you horror lovers – if you want to laugh rather than being scared. The general plot line involves two American women on a vacation in the Mediterranean, where they stumble upon the lair of (you guessed it) a killer mermaid. This film is available to stream on Netflix, and definitely worth it for your next movie night.

3. Left Behind

Nicolas Cage is reason enough to watch and save this Armageddon based masterpiece from Netflix. In Left Behind, a handful of survivors are “left behind” after millions vanish; the world is plunged into chaos. And then there was Nic Cage.

4. John Dies at the End

Comedy meets terror in this dark flick on Netflix. A new drug, referred to as Soy Sauce, promises an out-of-body experience like no other. People are scrambling for it, but there are (obviously) consequences. We won’t give you any other spoilers — this movie is perfect for livening up a boring evening.

5. Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny

This movie is actually pretty good if you’re into martial arts flicks, though still laughable compared to the original. Jason Scott Lee stars as a warlord hell-bent on stealing a sword from the good guys (and martial arts masters). Get a hold of this one on Netflix before your next kung fu binge!

Video of the Month: How to Wrap a Cat for Christmas

We spend a lot of time analyzing debug logs and frequently give customers a quick 2 minute video to test, which means we’re often in search of short clips that end play a vital role in the data logging process. Needless to say, we watch videos (and other types of media) and want to share them with you!

With the holidays looming over our shoulder at every turn and the endless list of gifts to be gifted, we started swapping stories about the most ridiculous things we’ve ever had to wrap up.

Coffee mugs can be tricky, and broomsticks nearly impossible, but none of us have ever tried gift-wrapping a cat before!

So hilarious. So cute.
