The Top YouTubers You Need to Follow for Gaming

Move over PewDiePie, there are hundreds of awesome up-and-coming YouTubers and channels to subscribe to for your fix of gaming-related videos. With so many incredible options nowadays, if you can sift through the madness you’ll end up with a number of well-produced, informed and expertly-written content about video games.

Luckily for gamers, we went through the best of the best, and the worst of the worst, and came up with a shortlist of some of our favorite YouTube channels for video games. With Replay Media Catcher, you can capture and record as many of the videos from these gaming YouTube channels that you could ever want on hand.

1. The Syndicate Project

The Syndicate Project has reached nearly 10 million subscribers — but it wasn’t always so big. Launched in 2010, it focused first on Halo and Call of Duty, and then expanded to include Minecraft live play, video game unboxing videos, reaction videos, and even some real-life adventure videos to keep things interesting. Of all the “popular” gaming channels out there, this one’s our favorite! Watch + record The Syndicate Project on YouTube

2. Game Grumps

Game Grumps is another Let’s Play series on YouTube starring Arin Hanson and Dan Avidan. Created in mid 2012, the channel generally puts out 3 videos a day that consist of hosts playing a game, and highlights their experiences and opinions of that game. It has since expanded to many lengthy videos that incorporate new hosts in spin-offs, including Ross O’Donovan, Barry Kramer, Suzy Berhow and Brian Wecht. Watch + record GameGrumps on YouTube

3. Rev3Games

Remember Adam Sessler? He was made famous by G4TV and its review show X-Play, which ran until 2013. Now he’s putting out awesome, personality-laden videos on his YouTube channel, Rev3Games! Also starring Tara Long, Anthony Carboni and other co-hosts, this channel has a casual, yet super entertaining style of video content that features reviews, Let’s Plays, and live streaming game play. Watch + record Rev3Games on YouTube

4. The Gaming Historian

Much like its name implies, the Gaming Historian is documentary-style web series about the history of video games. While it doesn’t have any live game play, unboxing moments or reaction videos, the YouTube show is incredibly well-edited and professional-looking, and the host does an amazing job backing up every fact or piece of trivia with solid research. 5. SeaNanners

SeaNanners is hosted by commentator Adam Montoya, who focuses his YouTube channel primarily on Let’s Play videos of first-person shooter games (Call of Duty), third-person adventure games (Grand Theft Auto), and other strategy-related video games (Minecraft). Because he’s so entrenched in the online gaming community, you can bet there are a ton of collaboration videos with other gaming YouTubers, as well. Watch + record SeaNanners on YouTube

Good for a Laugh: Best Comedy YouTube Channels

applian-banners-_1_

YouTube has built the opportunity for comedians to reach people anywhere. Without the use of this popular platform, many folks would find it impossible to get a show or skit into production – YouTube lets anyone with basic filming capabilities and a jolt of creativity generate and distribute video content.

Born and bred in the age of the Internet, online entertainers today are making skits, jokes and stories more immersive and unique than ever. We rounded up some of our favorite comedy channels on YouTube, so you can capture all of the funny with Replay Media Catcher.

5 Second Films

With a content base that’s described exactly by its name, 5 Second Films is a YouTube channel with storytelling, mystery and of course, a lot of laughs. While most of the funny short films are admittedly closer to 10 seconds than 5 (to include open and closing credits), they certainly pack a punch and cover silly, off-the-cuff topics like you wouldn’t even imagine. Watch + record 5 Second Films from YouTube.

Miranda Sings

Miranda Sings is a character created by actress Colleen Ballinger – and boy, do we mean character. With a sassy personality, unreal (and not in the good way) singing capability, and less-than-bloggable makeup, this awesome YouTuber has a growing viewership of all kinds. Is she crazy or just super talented? Even her fans are still trying to figure that one out. Watch + record Miranda Sings from YouTube.

7 Minutes in Heaven

We were all teenagers once, but SNL sketch writer Mike O’Brien never quite got past it. 7 Minutes in Heaven is an awkward, hilarious, and yet somehow endearing, comedy channel on YouTube that hosts celebrities for super up-close-and-personal interviews. As you can probably guess, it’s just about as funny as it is cringeworthy. Watch + record 7 Minutes in Heaven from YouTube.

GloZell Green

GloZell has been around for what seems like forever; she’s a classically trained performer and Internet personality, and she’s built an empire around her comedic personality on YouTube. From tackling the latest challenges to sharing truly awful beauty tips to making up new characters, this is one seriously funny woman to keep an eye on. Watch + record GloZell from YouTube.

Incredible Clips: The Best Moments from Tour de France

Chris Froome sped through the 2016 Tour de France finish line in first place this weekend after a dramatic, empowering weekend. Winning the titles in 2013 and again in 2015, this year he was backed by “one special team” that made all the difference.

“It has been an incredible few weeks. The strength of the team was phenomenal, we had five climbers and we’ve all led teams but there were no egos and everything was all about Froome,” said Team Sky teammate, Geraint Thomas to UK broadcaster ITV4 after a crash on the 146 kilometer stretch on Stage 19.

With plenty of drama, endurance, team bonding and a few crashes, you can be certain there are already a ton of amazing highlight clips from the race:

Stage 12 Mt. Ventoux Crash

When Chris Froome was involved in a crash with a motorbike, he ditched his bike and ran to the finish line on foot.

The Last Kilometer

During the last stretch of Stage 21, the camera follows closely (and parallel) to the incredibly close finish.

Caught from a first-person perspective, this bike camera captures some of the most speed-worthy moments of the race.

Here’s How to Save Audio from YouTube

YouTube has one of the largest collections of music videos, short series, random clips and any other kind of recorded video you can think of. With over 500 hours of possibilities for online entertainment uploaded every minute, it’s no wonder they’re the 2nd largest search engine used around the world.

The past has shown us that not everything posted online can last, however; artists will remove their content, tracks are taken down for copyright purposes and other music videos can be blocked from the public’s view at any time.

Luckily for online media (and music) lovers, programs like Replay Media Catcher exist to help you download audio from YouTube in perfect quality, and grow your personal music collection.

Among other awesome features, Replay Media Catcher can:

  • Download and convert audio in high quality instantly.
  • Automatically identify, tag and add album artwork to tracks.
  • Integrate directly with iTunes for fast importing.

Here’s how it’s done in 3 easy steps:

1. Open Replay Media Catcher and switch on the automatic downloader.

2. Choose MP3 > Extract audio to MP3 as your conversion preset.

3. Play the music video on YouTube that you want to download as an audio file. (Hint: As soon as the video starts playing, close it and start a new video to be downloaded).
