Record a Concert this Hall-O-Ween Night

No, I didn’t mispell Halloween in that title. Be sure to catch a very special edition of Live From Daryl’s House tonight. Daryl Hall that is. Tonight on Yahoo Screen’s Live Nation Channel you can watch “Hall-O-Ween and Oates”. This sold out concert also marks the public opening of Daryl’s new venue in Pawling, New York. The live concert begins at 9PM PT / 6PM ET  and will replay for 24 hours. I’ll definitely be recording it with Replay Video Capture.

I’ve recently discovered the Live from Daryl’s House monthly web series and I’ve become addicted to the show’s archives. The premise is so inviting, you just can’t turn away. Daryl invites some legendary rockers over to his amazing old farmhouse (which he has lovingly restored), for some unforgettable jam sessions. It’s just a room full of incredibly talented musicians having a blast singing each others songs. The series is very well done technically,  and Daryl sounds better than ever. And, he’s aged pretty darn well. Can a 70’s/ 80’s rocker actually get cooler with age? Daryl sure has.

There are currently 68 episodes of LFDH available to watch. Our favorites from the archives include: Darius RuckerZZ Top’s Billy GibbonsJoe WalshRob ThomasKT TunstallBrett Dennen, oh man…I could keep going. Just go browse the archives and listen for yourself. And they’re all downloadable with Replay Media Catcher.

Tonight’s live show is bound to be a nostalgic trip back to the 80’s, but sounding better than ever. And if you’re busy trick-or-treating with your little ghouls and gobblins, recording the show is easy with Replay Video Capture  Here’s a quick tutorial on how to set it up to record anything at a scheduled time.

Enjoy the show!

Dr. Wilson’s Possibly humorous Distraction- Vol 7

Dr. Wilson back here.  Well, I wasn’t actually gone.  Deb REALLY wanted to do a post on balloons, so while I was out training, she snuck in that last entry.  “Training?” you ask.  Last Sunday I competed in my second 1/2 Ironman distance triathlon – Steelhead 70.3. Translated, I swam 1.2 miles in Lake Michigan, bicycled 56 miles, and then ran a half marathon (13.1 miles).  If you think that is crazy, Shellie has done a few full Ironman races.  I might be that crazy in 2015.  Between work and family, we manage to squeeze in a lot of miles of training.

This week’s video is a bit of a classic, turning around the patterned: “Sh*t” + athletic activity + “say”.

World Cup Giveaway: Conclusion

Thanks for playing

Well, here it is. The end. While the World Cup ended on Sunday, and Germany inevitably won the prestigious solid gold trophy, we posed our final question, and Peter put it succinctly in-line with his favorite team:

If you won the World Cup where would you put the trophy? A Window in the Red Light District (I’m a fan of the Dutch).”

So congratulations to our final winner! We had so much fun reading your answers to these questions and happily giving away Replay Capture Suites and official FIFA jerseys. Don’t wait another four years, come back soon to read all of the fun news, informative tutorials, and other contests we have throughout the year. Oh, and don’t forget to follow us on Twitter too if you’ve got something to say. We’d love to hear it.

World Cup Giveaway: FINAL WEEK

Enter to win

Well, it’s the final week of our awesome World Cup contest. This weekend, it comes down to Germany or Argentina for the distinction of winner, and although it will be another four years before the next round of matches, we’re still riding out this fun giveaway. For our winner last week, we think it’s a pretty clear reason to love a soccer player:

Who has your favorite player been and why? Hulk because his name is Hulk.”

So congrats Ben R! We will be sending you the Replay Capture Suite AND your (Hulk?) jersey.

For the final installment in our World Cup giveaway, and your last chance to win the Suite AND your own FIFA World Cup jersey, we wanted to end on a high note and ask this question (because you’re all winners in our eyes):

Final World Cup Contest Question:

If you won the World Cup where would you put the trophy?

WORLD CUP GIVEAWAY: Week 3

Enter to win

We were so engrossed in World cup excitement yesterday, we totally forgot to post our next round of giveaways! But not to fear — we’ve chosen a winner from last week, Carlos P, for his pooch preparedness and his love of Argentina. Here’s how he answered last week’s question:

What’s your World Cup 2014 ritual? Prepare my dog (his name is Bruno Aurelio) with his shirt of Argentina to watch matches of our team!!! GO ARGENTINA!!!

Now Carlos gets a matching jersey from FIFA and a full Replay Capture Suite to record and download all the matches so he and Bruno can watch them anytime! Congratulations Carlos! Be sure to send us a photo of you and Bruno sporting your Argentina pride.

YOU could answer the question below to win! This week, we want to hear about your naughty side. No — not like that. On the pitch! With so many “entertaining” penalties in the last few games (ahem, biting), tell us what your creative offense would be…

Question This Week:

If you got a yellow card, what would it be for?

Download Recent World Cup Games with Replay Media Catcher

Download recent World Cup games with Replay Media Catcher

Ever since the first kick-off, we’ve been scouring the Internet for new streams to archived and live World Cup games. As we mentioned previously, you can capture all live matches on ESPN or iTV with Replay Video Capture. But, how can you find archives of recently played games and download them for future viewing? Well, you’re in luck!

We’ve discovered that you can use Replay Media Catcher to download all recent World Cup games from the BBC archives. Better act fast, because after 1 week, the game is gone. In the video below, we show you step-by-step how to easily download your favorite matches. And, using IPVanish, Applian’s trusty affiliate partner, you can access the BBC site (which is typically off limits to networks outside the UK), and record those amazing games you missed last week or simply want to keep for your archives.

Please enjoy and leave a comment if you have any questions.

Note: selecting High Quality versus High Definition Quality is more reliable for this process and using the Guide view within the program is much easier to find games than through searching the BBC site.

Stream & Record The 2014 Winter Olympics With Replay Video Capture

Riki can snowboard

So you can’t wait for all of the drama, snow, and Russian delight of the Sochi Games? Same here. Don’t exactly want to catch all the excitement whenever your TV dictates? We know the feeling. There’s an option this year to watch the competition live online.

In the US, NBC is broadcasting every single event online. However, you need to have a cable or satellite subscription to access with one of NBC’s partners (Xfinity, Time Warner Cable, Direct TV, Dish, AT&T U-verse, among many others), but once logged in, you can set up Replay Video Capture to record video directly to your hard disk. Simple, huh?

There are a couple other options if you are not in the US of A. Mainly, BBC and CBC, which are also streaming the Games for those with an IP address in the UK or Canada.

It’s like spandex to ice skating, skis to downhill moguls, erm… weird bathrooms to Sochi accommodations? Basically, Replay Video Capture is the perfect partner for your 2014 Olympic viewing needs online.

If you don’t have Replay Video Capture yet, download the free version here and get out your country’s flag for all of the international winter sports your heart desires.

Capturing Live Streams with our Screen Recorder – Replay Video Capture

Capturing CNN Live Online

While I am at work I can’t watch TV – but that doesn’t mean I want to miss live coverage of major events as they unfold. Thanks to live streaming news sites like CNN – and our professional quality screen recorder Replay Video Capture – I don’t have to.

I had CNN streaming live on my Windows 8 desktop and Replay Video Capture, our super easy screen recorder, was capturing all the coverage as it happened. Later today, when my work is done 🙂 I’ll be able to watch the news as it happened. Which is how I like it.

The image above is from my recorded video from earlier today – look at that gorgeous quality. That’s Replay Video Capture! Don’t miss another live event as it happens. Replay Video Capture is the prefect screen recorder for capturing all live streams – and any other streams you can’t download like webinars, encrypted sites, video chats, etc. Enjoy.
