What Are We Looking Forward To?

A Knight’s Tale (2001)

If the Heath Ledger nostalgia has hit you, and you’re in the mood for a good chick flick, you’ll want to catch A Knight’s Tale. It’s the story of peasant-born William Thatcher (Heath Ledger) who wants to change his fate, believing that he is destined for greatness. He enlists in a jousting tournament, masquerading as a nobleman so that he can participate, and begins his quest to glory. In the process, he wins the heart of a fair maiden and challenges societal and class norms.

Jurassic Park (1993)

It’s a Spielberg science fiction classic that millions across the globe came to love. The first installment in the Jurassic Park franchise by Michael Crichton is set on the fictional island of Isla Nublar, near Costa Rica. The story follows businessman John Hammond and a team of genetic scientists who have created a wildlife park of de-extinct dinosaurs. Industrial sabotage eventually leads to a catastrophic shutdown of the park’s power facilities and Hammond’s children struggle to survive on the island, now controlled by the very species meant to be controlled.

Immigration Nation (Season 1)

Immigration Nation is a highly-anticipated, six-part series that gives us a rare inside look at the machinery of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Directed by Shaul Schwarz and Christina Clusiau, the series explores both sides of the debate over immigration in the U.S.

Les Misérables (2012)

There’s nothing like a good musical that pulls at the heartstrings. Based on Victor Hugo’s book, the Les Misérables story is set in the early 19th century and begins with Jean Valjean (Hugh Jackman), who after 19 years as a prisoner, is freed by Javert (Russell Crowe), the officer in charge of the prison workforce. After breaking parole to start a new life for himself, Javert vows to bring Valjean back to prison. Eight years later, Valjean meets Cosette and becomes her guardian after the death of Cosette’s mother. However, with Javert’s relentless pursuit, peace and quiet is far from reach.

Rising Phoenix (2020)

Featuring Paralympians from around the world, Rising Phoenix is a ground-breaking movie about the paralympic movement, and will premiere on Netflix all over the globe on August 26. The film release was planned to coincide with the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games, but it will now form an important part of the celebrations leading up to the Games in 2021. The film tells the fascinating story of the Paralympic Games beginning after the devastation of World War II, to the modern day Games as we know them, the third largest sporting event in the world. The Paralympic Games sparked a global movement that challenges each one of us to change the way we think about disability, diversity and human potential.

What’s Hot: Apple’s New Video Streaming Service

Season’s Greetings.

Oh wait, you haven’t heard? It is the season of new streaming releases, and we are here for it.

First, we’ve got the hotly anticipated Disney+ that is now streaming all your favorites and newly released, never before seen originals that are making waves with all your friends and family. Now, we’ve got Apple TV’s new streaming service: Apple TV+

Okay, maybe Apple’s newest streaming service isn’t entirely brand new this week, but it is definitely here, having debuted officially earlier this month, and we need to talk about it.

It’s positioning itself as a competitor to Netflix, getting ready to stream your favorite shows and movies, as well as creating its own original content and poising itself as a fixture in your living room.

If you already own an Apple TV device, then the crossover is easy, and it’s simple to subscribe to the brand new service, and get streaming.  Ringing in at about $5 a month, it’s a pretty affordable contender to replace or accompany all your classic streaming favorites.

The streaming service offers a free trial period of 7 days, as well as a free music streaming program for students. It’s a pretty great incentive to sign up, even if just to add to your growing army of streaming options. In our opinion, you can never have too many options to watch and capture the best shows streaming online.

An added bonus of Apple TV+? Shows and movies are available to watch online and offline, from any Apple device.

Luckily, Replay Video Capture is here to make sure that no matter where you are watching, you can capture your favorite movies and shows (and even a few new ones!)…

Not sure how to do it? Take a look at our handy how-to guide, get the latest version of Replay Video Capture, and make sure that you are geared up to get the hottest shows and movies streaming online this season!
